SpaceX ship carrying astronauts successfully landed at sea

SpaceX's GO Navigator revokes the ship to Endeavor and pulls the compartment onto the deck shortly after landing. After a series of tests, the support team opened the Endeavor and began evaluating the health of Behknen and Hurley. This is the first time US spacecraft have landed in the sea in more than four decades. The most recent landing in July 1975 was when NASA astronauts Tom Stafford, Vance Brand and Deke Slayton finished the Apollo-Soyuz test project by landing in the Pacific Ocean.

Dead stars transmit radio signals to Earth

Dead stars transmit radio signals to Earth

Recently, researchers discovered that stars from SGR 1935 + 2154 emit both X-ray signals and radio waves. The discovery of the ESA space telescope, a device floating at an altitude of nearly 153,000 km above Earth to track radiation in the universe, is the first observation to reveal the relationship between magnetic stars and radio waves . The results of the study were published July 27 in the Astrophysical Journal Letters.

The 2,400-km-long block of dust from the Sahara covers the Caribbean

The huge dust cloud caused the Caribbean sky to turn gray on its way to America with unprecedented size and density over the past half century. The scene in the Caribbean countries is blind due to the dust. Video: Guardian. Air quality in most of the Caribbean is "dangerous" and experts nicknamed the cloud of Godzilla, while also advising people to stay indoors and use an air purifier if available. "This is the most significant event in the last 50 years," said Pablo Méndez Lázaro, an environmental health specialist at the University of Puerto Rico. "The situation is very dangerous in many Caribbean islands". Lázaro, who is working with NASA to develop a Sahara dust storm warning system, said the dust density in recent days was so high that it could have harmful effects on healthy people.

Discovered the 8th continent hidden 1,500 km deep under Europe

Discovered the 8th continent hidden 1,500 km deep under Europe

The Greater Adria continent is about the size of Greenland that existed hundreds of millions of years ago after separating from the Gondwana supercontinent. Today's continents on Earth come from the Pangea supercontinent. Pangea split into two smaller parts, Laurasia in the north and Gondwana in the south. Tectonic plates facing northward later form Europe, Asia and North America. The southward drift forms Africa, Antarctica, South America and Australia. The researchers discovered the 8th continent separating from Gondwana named Greater Adria.

The continent of 5 million km2 sinks under the Pacific Ocean

NEW ZEALAND The first time the researchers published a map depicting geological and tectonic features of Zealandia, the continent sank into the sea 8 million years ago. Once in the same region as Antarctica and Australia, the missing continent of Zealandia split 85 million years ago, sank into the sea and was inundated for most of the centuries. The GNS Science Research Institute in New Zealand, announced two new maps and an interactive website on June 22. Maps depicting the shape of the sea floor and the tectonic characteristics of Zealandia reveal the origin of the continent. The map also helps explain the formation of volcanoes, sedimentary basins and many other geological features of New Zealand.
